booted & suited

new boots - got them on saturday, i couldn't resist! been looking for a pair like this for ages *years* (knee-high, black leather, chunky not-too-high heel, buckle-y). and not only did they look cool (imho, not that anyone noticed other then N, who was primed and i suspect didn't register their loveliness, just that i was wearing boots, before saying 'nice boots') but they were also comfy all day long, not a rub or blister or cramped bit to be found. miraculous.

bitch of a night at work, the workload is getting out of hand for the staffing level. and it looks like i might have to put up with something dodgy rather than something decent if i'm to get a foot in the door on the quest for a staff job. grr, etc.
