Marievale Bird Sanctuary

Led our mid-week club outing of 10 members to the sanctuary this morning.
A very pleasant mornings outing with 87 species recorded.

Managed a few record shots as depicted in the collage, clockwise from top left:
Black-winged Stilt
Red-billed Teal
Blacksmith Lapwing ( juvenile)
Purple Heron

Other species recorded included both Lesser & Greater Flamingo; Western Marsh-harrier; Caspian Tern and a whole selection of sandpipers, to name but a few.
