Charity

Today marks the 365th consecutive blip for me! I had not planned to do this, but the blipfoto bug has got me.

It was a cold but beautiful morning coming into Glasgow. I thought I would head over to the Glasgow Necropolis.

This beautiful statue of Charity holding her child is part of the family mausoleum for John Houldsworth of Cranstonhill (1807-1859). The statue was designed by architect/sculpter John Thomas. On the left of the mausoleum is a statue of Hope with an anchor and on the inside there are three marble figures - Faith in the centre with an angel on each side.

Hope you are all having a good day.
