Strange goings-on

A solitary pea sprouted in our garden a few weeks ago and is now over 3 feet high. No idea why it didn't sprout in the spring like all the others. I've wondered how long it would last and if it would keep growing, but I think last night's frost may have done it in. We'll see.
A beautiful sunny crisp day. The ground crunched when I went out to take this. Now I'm off to enjoy a walk. :)
