A secret mission to the SSPCA in Balerno today. It was started as a rest home for working horses in Edinburgh in the 1930's. The milk/ rag and bone men could take their horse for a rest and borrow one from the farm so they could continue to earn a living. Some beautiful animals recovering from mistreatment. I was quite tempted by the miniature donkeys.
