P&K Panel

I was privileged to be part of a really interesting event today - a debate on the Independence Referendum for over 200 young people from across all 11 secondary schools in Perth & Kinross.

I was part of the panel - one of two "neutrals" - alongside the Better Together and Yes Campaigns. The questions from the young people were fantastic - thoughtful, insightful, probing and challenging. Huge credit to P&K Youth Council for organising it.

To see such engagement from young people was fabulous - though of course not a surprise to me. It just shows they need many more opportunities to ask their questions and be part of shaping the future - way beyond Sept 18.
