Alternative photography techniques...
have always brought out the geek in me. I wish now that I had paid more attention in biology and chemistry classes but well, there were ...boys! This piece I completed a while ago after many, many months of experimentation. Each "stage" of this required a lot of testing on small samples before I was able to put this one together. This is a chlorophyll print of a photograph of "Fraunk" that I took at the lake, printed onto a living lily pad harvested from the lake, and then stabilized onto hammered and patinated copper in the shape of a lily pad. Today when I walked into my living room I liked how the sun was casting shadows from the blinds across it and decided that it was a better blip than the frozen, slightly decayed mushrooms that I had previously decided upon...
