Tech. Rat

Miss Ratty came out to do some work on the laptop today :0)

The boys and I went out to the field a brought up a ton of wood for the fire as it's meant to get cold late tomorrow. Hard to imagine when it's so pleasant but we are ready nonetheless. Little man was impressed that his formerly broken arm was capable of picking up logs on its own :0). But he was nervous about leaving the safe confines of the fenced yard. He had to listen and make sure we couldn't hear any dogs (unfortunately, it's not unusual to find stray or escaped dogs running about in the fields out here.)

We read about Edwin Hubble, looked at some space telescope pics and put a pic of the Hubble telescope on our computer wallpaper as today would have been Mr Hubble's birthday. I think we may build our own space telescope tomorrow with a paper towel tube and some tinfoil :0)
Little man and I talked about different types of clouds as he could see both high wispy clouds and low puffy ones in the image from space and was curious about that.

He talks in little spurts about his experiences in the hospital, rolling it all around in his head and working out the bits that are blurry or confusing. It's fascinating to watch. And he tells me often, "you learn a lot about stuff when you spend two weeks in the hospital." :0)

Today he has gone with no bandages for the first time. A giant leap for little-mankind.
