BATTERIES!!!!!!

Went for a great walk today with loads of photo opportunities BUT

1. I stupidly took the camera without the battery which was still re-charging on the kitchen worktop.

2. That's OK I thought I'll use my phone, this would have been fine if I had remembered to recharge the battery!

I must buy myself another battery for the camera, which I could keep in the camera case. Will do to-morrow.

The dogs and I went to Ormonde Hill with their great friend Freddie and as usual they had great fun chasing each other, playing with sticks, running up and down the slopes and through the trees. Bud deafened us with his barking as he got more and more exited. You will have to imagine it as I only managed to take one photo, this one, until the phone battery ran out.

I often meet an elderly couple on this walk, they are such caring people. They do the same walk everyday and all through the winter they bring bird seed, they have a special place where they feed the birds and all the birds congregate there waiting for them to arrive. It's lovely to watch. They have a tribe of elderly small dogs following them of assorted varieties, when I asked them before about these dogs they told me that none of them are theirs, they all belong to various neighbours who are now too old to take them for regular walks. However today they were each carrying one dog and walking the rest. These 2 that they were carrying had belonged to an old lady who had passed away last week. They decided to take on these 2 dogs themselves as no-one else would have them as they were so old and had problems walking. Lovely people.
