Christmas cake

This is a real emergency blip today . I have been making Christmas cakes . My mother in law gave me her recipe years ago & I have practised every Christmas . I now have her seal of approval . Brendan loves it so I make two ; one for Christmas and one for his birthday. It has only had a small drink of brandy before being wrapped up and sealed in its tin.
I am now chief glue application technician in the workshop for headboard assembly . It has all gone together according to plan including exact right angles where they should be . He's a genius :))
