Hotel

This was such a welcome sight this evening! My working day centred around a meeting by video conference leaving very little time to deal with anything else. Then headed out to Gatwick straight after work for a flight to Newcastle with colleagues. Tomorrow we have a development day with our counterparts in the North.

The flight was delayed by over an hour and due to the bad weather it was bumpy. In the taxi, the boss informed us we had an earlier start than anticipated. Not welcome news! When we arrived at the hotel, they couldn't find our booking at first. Finally we got sorted - and then my room key didn't work so it was a trek back downstairs to replace it. When I did get into the room, the bed looked so cosy and inviting. No chocolate on the pillow though!
