Emergency blip...this is what I'm doing now (editing and sorting holiday photos) when I should really be sleeping. I didn't quite realise the time (10.50)

Not too bad a day today. We did lots of jigsaws this morning until Amelie ran out of concentration. Then we played matching pairs. She is SO good at that game. I always try to win but never do. Amelie is the reining matching pairs champ. Then we had lunch and went to visit one of the local schools. I was not impressed. One of the first things we were shown was the weather system behavioural charts. I'm not a massive fan of these charts. Where everybody can see if you have misbehaved. However it was more the fact the head teacher made such a big thing of it. And they even had them in reception classes.... The head teacher also said "What's the point of having fun if you aren't learning anything?" I really just wanted to leave there and then but that would probably have seemed rude! He was talking about four year olds....Jeez. I personally think there are learning opportunities everywhere and good parents/teachers harness that. But also - THEY ARE FOUR! Let them have some fun. Not a terrible school but not one for us I don't think.

We played with the instruments (deep joy) this afternoon and I crawled around the floor in the opposite direction from Isaac to try and avoid being bitten.

He wolfed down last nights shepherds pie for dinner and Amelie also wolfed her dinner of soup and bread.

Now I really should sleep...
