Dropped
Tonight, after successfully running 2.5 miles on a whim, I drove to Angelo to have dinner with my amazing littles. Little to one of them, I was going to drop her.
Dropping signifies a step that a big has perceived in her little. It's the one time her big can tell her she has exemplified what it means to be a Delta Zeta. I promised all my littles that one day I would drop them all even if it was some years later. When a big drops her little, she receives her sorority letters on a necklace, hence a drop. Sandra has worked so hard on her degree and aspiration to become a physician. I'm so proud of all the things she has done and the leadership positions she has assumed on campus at ASU. I knew coming to Sonora that I was going to do this. I loved the expression on her face, she had no idea it was coming which made it all the better!
I'm so proud of all my littles. I look forward to the day I get to drop my other little, Marcie. I've made a promise, and I'll stick to it til the end.
xoxo,
