Great Railway Journeys of the World.....
.....Edinburgh Haymarket to Halifax, via Leeds...then Halifax to Edinburgh Haymarket via the Caldervale Line and Preston. Todmorden is on the Caldervale line and it's a typically Yorkshire 'Hovis bread advert' type of village....lovely until you realise that Harold Shipman killed some of his 200 victims whilst working as a GP there in the 70's....nice.
Home soon for a soak in the bath.
Edit: I forgot to mention that Preston has the largest bus station in Europe....I've seen it too!!
