Old and New

On the walk to the loch I pass this site, until recently there was a small cottage standing here but in a poor state. The old cottage was taken down except the end wall on the left of the shot. This wall remains - I was told - to ensure the new build is the same height.

The stone barn behind the Hitachi was the mill for the area, remains of the wheel can be seen behind the barn and bits of the mill race can be seen next to the burn that runs through our property.
