St Andrews
6.7C with blue sky and a light breeze.
I'm not so sure I believe the temperature from the weather station not far from our house today. We had a trip to St Andrews and the indicator in the car didn't go above 4C.
When we got to St Andrews this morning the tide was out and the West sands were looking very inviting for a walk. Since the car was indicating 2C we put Maeve the Deerhound's coat on to make sure her back was kept warm. We walked out to the Eden estuary and back and we did let Maeve off her lead for a while so she could wander about on her own, but not where there were other dogs as we didn't want her to run about just yet. I always have the Chariot's of Fire theme playing in my head as I walk back along the sands towards the town :-)
We had a walk to the Cathedral and then round town and then took Maeve back to the car as she was getting a bit slower walking along. We left her to have a snooze and went off to have some lunch. After lunch we went back to the car and got Maeve and had another walk, but not for too long.
It was a lovely clear day for a trip to St Andrews. From the top of the Scores by the golf courses we could see all the way across the Eden and the Tay to the hills of Angus. There was some snow on the tops.
Just before we left for home I took this shot from the car park by the West sands in the low light towards the end of the afternoon.
