We have the tech knowledge eh? *

The heating's been playing up and yesterday it stopped completely - overheat switch tripping out. I could have called a plumber in (like that's going to happen) but where's the fun in that? Popped into a plumber's merchant today and came out a hundred quid lighter with a new pump (sixty on ebay but can't wait in the cold). Noticed that someone had made a bodge and the boiler also needs a new water pressure switch - but that can wait.
