Riverside stroll...

I took this photograph because of the amazing golden autumn colour, and then ended up processing it as a high-key monochrome - rather perverse! But it isolated the man so much better - he somehow seems rather out of place and lost in thought. Certainly his shoes weren't ideal for the muddy riverside path!

It was either this or one of the last dragonflies of the season, sitting on a bench soaking up the feeble rays of autumn sun. But as my photographic mojo reaches its nadir, I'm forcing myself to try out some different approaches, to try and relight the spark. They may or may not work - but sometimes it's good to experiment.
