They Might Be Giants (************)

For the last few weeks the buzz in TDJS has been about talent. A talent contest to be precise. Being the great school it is it seems that almost everyone has got together a performance to try out for the year 6 organised "TD's got talent". Milo and his friend Jack (not pictured here with Milo) had rehearsed Annie's Song (the John Denver one), Jack had taught It to Milo while at school. We thought it might be helpful if M actually heard the proper song, and had the words, and did a little but if rehearsal. He refused our input. He announced this morning that they have made it to the final! Let that be a lesson in humility - leave ell alone sometimes. So I got him to autograph his photo before he gets too famous and forgets us. Tonight was the long awaited by me They Might Be Giants gig at Shepherds Bush Empire. Jon was in rude health (as, it has to be said, were TMBG, providing 2 hours of top quality musical fun), but Kath was shall we say more than a little out if sorts after letting a (ahem) rude word go to air during a piece on the Mayor of Toronto and his latest drink/drug/mildly imbalanced rant. As it turns out the word was in the types subtitles and actually just didn't contain as many asterisks as the BBC would have liked for the six o'clock news.
