Duddingston Kirk and Loch
It's not every couple who would journey to the other side of town to sample the delights of the new mega store, Range, and come away with a giant box of broken biscuits.
His Lordship has a love affair with broken biscuits, presumably because he feels he's helping to tidy up the biscuit box by eating them; the more there are, the better the tidying up. He has been known to break biscuits to lessen the guilt of eating too many.
The box we carried home today should keep him busy with tidying for a while.
On the way home through Holyrood Park, I was allowed 15 minutes beside Duddingston Loch in which to get today's blip.
With the sun shining and the water a sparkling blue, it was so peaceful and rustic that it was hard to believe we were only 2 miles from the razamataz of the Christmas jollifications in the centre of Edinburgh.
