Random blips

The dried stuff shop

Very sad - last day in Hong Kong. Managed to get a flight that doesn't take off until nearly midnight so at least we got a whole last day. A bit of wandering around local streets was followed by a random decision to jump on a number 6 bus which takes a spectacular route up over the mountains and down to Stanley on the south of the island. Stanley was the site of a WW2 internment camp and there is a very tranquil military cemetery. Some of the shots of the war graves nearly made it as the blip but I thought I should finish on a more cheerful note.
There are loads of these shops around town, all brightly lit and very shiny and selling a huge array of things in sacks, boxes and large glass jars. Everything seemed to be dried but I would be hard pushed to identify more than a quarter of it!
Hope you have enjoyed the last few weeks of blips on the road - back to the cold and grey in a few more hours!
