New gate.

As in new gate, not the prison or the clock maker.

Although I am reading the latest Sherlock Holmes novel, written by Anthony Horowitz, at the moment, and that is set around the time of the prison's infamy.

This is one of the many new gates that Powys Council are putting up along the Offa's Dyke Path which we use every day with the dogs and I have mixed feelings about them.

Surely an old fashioned stile is far more in keeping with the countryside.

That and the fact that the dogs never go across a stile until we are over and then call them, making it far easier to cross any main roads without having to resort to leads.

But nevertheless, I suppose this has something to do with Health and Safety and the fact they have some spare money to use up.

Either way, the dogs still enjoy their walks.
