Slivers of Light
It's been a while since the wee man and I have had a wander of an afternoon, so it was good to get out today in the freezing cold sunshine.
Spent a bit of time throwing rocks as high as we could to break the icy crust up at Gartmorn Dam, then skimming stones over the surface to play a bit of ten gull bowling. Watching the mallards fly in and skite over the ice as they attempted to land (they bounced mostly) was hilarious.
We then headed up the hill to Clackmannan Tower, discussing queuing at midnight for PS4s and prelims, to catch the sunset. The views over Alloa and the Tower itself (that looked like it'd had one too many orangey fake-bakes) were all great for snapping shots away at, but it was when Euan noticed the the cobwebs lighting up in the grass as the sun headed towards the horizon we knew we had our blip.
Chat then turned to food as the temperature dipped even more (as seen by Euan's breath) so we packed up and headed off for burger on the way home. The fact he was happy to model for a McDonalds is a great rate in my book, and much more reasonable than his rates for doing the housework.
