Seagulls on Ice

Inverleith Pond has frozen over, not fully. These seagulls look like they are queueing for a spot in the small piece of open water on the right hand side.

They are all facing in to the sun, collecting what little warmth there is at this time of year. Some of them are standing on one foot, minimising their contact with the ice, and maximising their body warmth.

I'm lucky, I can go back to a warm office.
