The dress

Today my daughter and I went Christmas shopping to Blackpool.

I love Blackpool and all it's tackiness but it's actually quite good for shopping. All the shops you need in a small area.

After the first trip back to the car with bags, we went for some lunch in the winter gardens and noticed there was a small area with dance wear that you could have browse round without having to have a ticket for the associated show in the empress ballroom.

In there was a stand from DSI. DSI is the premier brand of clothing for Latin and bAll room and they make all the dresses for strictly. Most are on a couture basis and their website states that prices are 'on application'.

On the stand we found a rail of pre-worn dresses at less than 20% of the new price and at at less 20% cheaper than an equivalent on eBay.

Liberty, my daughter, has always dreamed of owning a DSI dress so after a few frantic texts to the hubby, I was able to buy this dress for her as an early birthday present. It was previously worn by Flavia from Strictly and is on excellent condition.

One bonus of working so hard is to have the odd moment of madness and make a little girl very happy.

Can't wait to see her in it next Saturday in her dance show x
