Tire guy

Today we rode a bike trail to the Cabo Rojo light house in the beautiful wild life preserve. On the way back to our hotel my husband noticed his pedal was loose and in fact the threads in the crank were stripped. Uh oh, we still have about 50 miles to ride to get back to start. So tire guy to the rescue. His first fix was to grab a beer can from his trash and cut a shim, but no go. Next he dumped buckets of bolts on the floor looking for the one he could use as a pedal. That did it, bolt pedal! We stopped at a hardware store and got parts to refine the "bolt " pedal to accept the pedal itself. Met lots of new people today with this adventure!
