A random (and good) day out
The wife dragged me out of the house for a magical mystery tour. Dropped the dog off at daycare then headed down to la Mesa for wedding band shopping. Spotted this low-rider on the way. Don't see one of these everyday. Got my band for $290 and 5 min choosing. The wife spent 30 min and several more $'s but still couldn't decide.
Had a hearty lunch at a nearby cafe then headed up to miramar to the Audi dealership to check out the Q5. We test drove the 2.5L TDi and very nice it was. The poor sales guy was working overtime trying to find the right car for the wife. Black paint, black leather, aluminum detailing, heated seats, no sat nav etc etc. we got to a price of $40k but honestly despite a lot of temptation we have more pressing matters to attend to first. Such as buying a house.
So we headed off the one of the many local microbreweries in the sprawling industrial estates. Hess brewery was our choice. Many good brews - up to 10% ABV but very tasty and pint glass throw in. A few games of jenga surrounded by one of the many brewery bus tours. This one full of young people dressed up as old people. Felt like being back at uni.
Picked up a tired doggy from daycare and quick stop off at the grocery store for dinner before watching the second half of the internship that we started last night.
