Infernal

For most of the time the giant lump of metal that is the Skarv FPSO sits in the darkness, lights twinkling away but otherwise undramatic.

Then about 30 minutes ago they had a massive flare off - we're sat several miles away and suddenly it was like daylight on the bridge. The light made the huge sea even more nightmarish, waves with orange and red foaming crests rearing up around the FPSO and making it look like a bath toy. Which given that it's 300m long and weight in somewhere on the high side of 100,000 tons.....
