Another day goes by

Fantastic performance by @DomFranchii

I managed to peel myself away from my new Xbox long enough to go and watch Newport v Carmarthen Quins. The Quins are comfortably towards the top of the table so todays clash was not going to be an easy one. But for at least the first 20 mins Newport had forgot about that and gave them all they had. This man, Dominic Franchi was playing out of his skin, and the Quins struggled to come anywhere near him. He scored the first try and with a blistering run he off loaded the ball into the incoming Elliott Frewen, who rolled over the line for the 2nd try, then it started to go wrong with a few soft trys toward the end of the first half.

With a few more penalties under their belt, Newport led 18-13 at half time, so all looked promising. But the second half didn't go as well as the first, even though we had and early penalty. Quins just didn't give up, and in the end, what put them towards the top of the table eventually took the lead from us. But each time we attacked, something happened and the ball just ended up back in our half.

It was a very brave performance by Newport, but we were left with a lot of, if only's. The end result was, Newport 21 Carmarthen Quins 23. Doesn't matter really, i still love watching them and love taking the match day images to share with the world. I just wish these images would inspire people to come and watch my mighty Newport.

Here are the images i took today, please take a look.
