Montrose House, Edinburgh

1-3 Montrose Terrace, Edinburgh. A public house built around 1880 on a slope so it has two stories at street level and three stories at the rear. It incorporates part of an 18th century building and possibly an even older one. The structure is decorated in Scots Baronial style and has a circular tower on the south corner. Until a few years ago it was still a pub called 'The Stag and Turret' but now it is a cafe called 'Just The Ticket' which looks very pleasant. Happily the building is Category B listed. I had to dig for a while to find out any information about it for this blip.
