Ouch!

This is top of the 'Most Ferocious Trees' list and that isn't really a surprise is it! It is the Silk Floss tree which, apart from this hideous spikes which cover the trunk and every branch, has the most beautiful pink and fragrant flowers but we missed those. It belongs to the baobab family and it's green trunk allows it to photosynthesise in the short time it has no leaves-apparently!
