Lanzarote does have some livestock!

Friday 8th November, Femes Ridge and coastal finish - 16k, 300m ascent.

We started at Casitas de Femes and climbed to goat farm. These were the only livestock we saw in Lanzarote. After a 10 minute break we began to climb round the back of Pico Aceitunis, which you see in the blip, however it was very windy and quite close to the edge. One of the ladies became a bit frightened so the leader decided we should return to the goat farm and descend through the valley of Higueras to Playa del Pozo beach for lunch. From there we walked to Playa Quemada for drinks and then on to Puerto Calero for the pick up by the bus. I think we were quite relieved that we had not traversed the high ridge as even on the lower level of the coastal cliffs, it was still quite windy.
