Sky associated with no immediate change
'Cirrus revealing no change. The situation will remain largely static' (hurrah - best weather we've had all summer) 'with no marked deterioration or improvement because the upper wind and the lower wind are parallel. If there is to be a marked change of air mass then the upper and lower winds must be crossing one another at an angle.'
Quote from a favourite little book 'Alan Watts: Instant Weather Forecasting' - I love it for its oracular quality. I put my faith in it.
Am enjoying everyone's blips - thanks for comments and welcome back. I seem to have a mild case of blipcomment block (it's happened before) - hopefully this will change in due course.
