Shap

The Carmenator and I took a road trip up to Carlisle today to get a birthday present for her mum and also to start our Christmas shopping.

It wasn't too painful although it did get very busy as we were leaving and I had been sent on a wild goose chase for discontinued perfume, but other than that it was nice to have a change of scenery and to have a natter with The Carmenator in the car.

We were pretty happy with our haul and are obviously hopeful that the recipients will be too!

Pictured here is the view from just below the crest of the summit of the Shap Road. It was a stunning view and for once I was armed with the "proper" camera and had time to compose the shot (albeit handheld).

I didn't linger too long as it was flip pin's freezing!
