Frosted Leaves

Very much colder today! This shot was taken at 3.30 pm and there was no chance of this poor plant thawing out today:-) If you look in Large you can see how enormous the ice crystals are.

The roads looked a bit dangerous for any trip that wasn't really necessary, so no sight-seeing for us today and instead we spent some time in the garden. I offered to rake up some leaves in the orchard, but it was hard work as many were stuck to the ground with the frost. I got most of them up, then had to call a halt as I was so cold. I suffer from peripheral neuropathy and the pain in my fingers and toes as they came back to life was excruciating! I won't be doing that again in a hurry:-)
