The Star Flyer

For as long as I can remember, every photographer in Edinburgh has made the pilgrimage to Princes Street and photographed the big wheel with multicoloured light trails and the flyer which was on the opposite side of the Scott Monument. In the new, non-tacky, Edinburgh Christmas, both have disappeared - the big wheel has been replaced a little further along Princes Street by another big wheel but it only has white lights to shoot the light trail and this impressive ride has arrived in St Andrew Square. I suspect the Edinburgh photographers will be flocking here in future trying to find an iconic view.
