Cemetery near Calgary beach Isle of Mull
Three of us collected seaweed from the beach this morning, great fun believe it or not and a lively chat with visitors to the island interested in what was going on.
This little cemetery is protected to some extent from the sea by the machair, I always feel this must be a special place for a burial.

Machair refers to a type of sand-dune pasture which prevails in wet and windy conditions and owe their fertility to the fact the sand has a high seashell content- sometimes as high as 90%.
