Burning up

Returning from Dundee, after an excellent Darius Brubeck concert and a delightful afternoon/evening with friends, we took a walk around Falkland. Yet another wonderful sunny late autumn day, with the russet colours still persisting.

Delighted to see that this story has had a happy ending. It had largely passed me by until I realised on Friday that it concerned the daughter of one of my colleagues. If what I heard was correct, then the UKBA don't actually seem to be very good at applying their own rules, whatever one thinks about the justice of the new rules on family migration and the 'value' of international family life.
