From Beinn an t-Sidhein
Although it wasn't as sunny as yesterday it was still a lovely day so we set off up to Strathyre's with the aim of climbing Beinn an t-Sidhein. This turned out yo be quite a nice hill an was a first for us both. There is a false top that has better views and looks more impressive so we climbed to first and had lunch there. We then went on and climbed the real summit. Luckily a lot of the ground was frozen as it would have been very boggy otherwise.
We wanted to avoid the same route down so tried, unsuccessfully, to find a different one and ended up with a steep scramble into the forest and through the forest. I think I was lucky to get out with both of my eyes intact as the branches kept trying yo get me!
Eventually met with the forestry road and followed it the rest of the way.
We think this is looking towards Ben Lawers.
Home for a hit bath, a delicious Roast Chicken dinner and a glass of wine.
