President Jimmy Carter at Emory University
For the 28th year in a row, The 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, spoke at Emory in front of the entire freshman class and hundreds of others.
He spoke candidly and often comically about current issues as well as the most cherished moment of his life. Racism, peace, economics and even Kanye West came up. He was surprisingly direct, beginning many answers with "yes" or "no".
After a few moments in thought, he shared that if he had one and only one more day as President, he would carry out peace in the Middle East. His most cherished moment was when his wife agreed to marry him (after he had previously asked with the unexpected response).
