Everyday I Write The Book

The cat that got the cream ...

... and no way is he going to share it. But we are trying to feed him up and get his body weight back up to where it was before The Incredible Journey, so a little of what he fancies does us all good. We actually went to our local RSPCA centre today which is where we got Scout from, and donated some stuff for their cattery; they do an amazing job of re-homing waifs and strays

Homo domesticus did pretty well on their targets today. Dejunking understairs revealed the usual delights of long forgotten underpants and casually discarded rubbish (this particular part of the house is bang opposite the teenager's bedroom so why should we be surprised?). Putting away clothes was another one of our adrenaline coursing activities today. And of course Tesco shopping, which involved that middle class game of hide and seek the parking space on a frantically busy Sunday afternoon. The whole world was out and the dogs had their own trollies. On the way home we even found time to pull down some Have You Seen This Cat  posters, which we are still withdrawing from circulation.

Depression and anxiety settled in later. I have a horrendously busy and emotive week ahead. Work is very full on and we have a big meeting on Friday. Thursday I have my exam in the morning and my charity away day in the afternoon. And on Monday I have to move Aged P into residential accommodation, something she is sure to find difficult. Life's events do always seem to travel in convoy. I am looking forward to Christmas (I always do) if for no other reason than that I am looking forward to the pace slowing down. All I want from Santa is a nice relaxing break ...
