It's beginning to look a lot like...

Don't say it, don't say it! According to Alastair I'm not allowed to acknowledge Christmas until after his birthday. However, Edinburgh kicked off its Christmas celebrations this evening, and I was there with my good friend and flat mate of 3 years Mim. I hadn't quite realised how long it had been, it's funny how time flies! Started off the day with the service at Charlotte chapel, it was so good to be back and it made me realise how much I miss it! Then Mim and I headed out for yummy lunch and a good natter before hitting the Christmas market for giant pretzels and toffee apple hot toddy (made with elderflower and blackberry pimms, yum!). We also went to see the lights switch on, a little bit underwhelming, but I do like the Christmas tree :-). Now I feel like I've actually had a decent weekend, chilled out and ready for the next week of work. Still missing hubby though, 3 more days before he's home!
