This land's the place I love....

We decided to drive across to Liverpool today as we were so close - unfortunately got stuck in another traffic jam at the end of the M62!

I love Liverpool - we moved when I was three, I went back to uni there for a few years, but it still feels like home to me. This is one of my favourite views of all time, although I am not so sure about all the modern buildings that have sprung up on the skyline!

We did a bit of shopping, had a bit of lunch, wandered a bit then set off for home. It has been a good weekend but Lottie has been really upset tonight, thinking about my dad. She has made the connection between it being nearly Christmas and what happened before Christmas last year. Lots of hugs needed!
