Pause for thought

Out reasonably early today for a walk, and managed to walk my usual 6/7 mile route via Burton Latimer. Despite being a drizzly, grey day, I still managed to see a kestrel and a red kite along the way. Here we see Burton's war memorial, located on the High Street, which is also at just over the halfway mark for the walk. It was a few weeks late for Armistice Day, but this spot, along with the old architecture in this part of BL (there are some lovely old buildings and really old industrial areas) has long been an attraction.
