Robotics!

Today we attended the Lego FIRST Robotics competition, held at Indiana University, Northwest in Gary, Indiana. Our daughter and son-in-law mentored a team (for the second year) from Hammond, Indiana. The kids design a project, build it and present it for review. They also design and program Lego robots to do simple tasks for scoring purposes. We were interviewed for a local newspaper and were pleased that we could publicly express our admiration for the students, teachers and mentors in their endeavor to encourage collaborative work and imaginative science.
