Sunday traditions of forced family fun continues for another generation. :)
Growing up my parents would drive us all over the northwest visiting parks, historic landmarks, fishing or some other destination. I remember them always being fun, with the exception of Willamette Stone Park, which turns out...is just a really long hike to a stone in the ground. It wasn't a park at all.
Today's adventure was to drive to mountain and play in the snow. We brought all the cold weather gear (gloves, hats, heavy coats) but it was such a beautiful day we didn't need any of them! Miles and dad built mini snowmen, threw snowballs, slid down the 'mini' mountain and watched all the skiers and snowboarders. Miles loved to watch the 'skateboards' (aka snowboards) the best and told us he "wanted to ride one RIGHT NOW!" Maybe next year we can take him up for a lesson. Miles also told us that "I like snow, I do!"
We stopped by for lunch on the way home and then finished the day with a quick walk to the park. We have to enjoy these nice days while we can!
