The clinic

We went to Turkana - a huge expanse of land in northern Kenya where less than one million people live their pastoral lives. The projects supported there are to try and prevent future droughts from devastating the people and their livelihoods - we are trying to support 'resilience'.

We listened to success stories about how the clinic had saved lives and in general there was a great deal of excitement about the visit...but we were told that the day before and the day after there were bandit attacks in the village (most likely more cattle raids)

These kids were listening to the various discussions...they were as delightful as kids could be and the one in the middle I find just beautiful!

Interesting work which I shall tell you about more in days to come...but for now, I am happy to be back in cooler climates.
