Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

HERBAL

The Anaphalis margaritacea (Pearly Everlasing) keeps on giving, even when the temperatures dive. It's medicinal too - as a treatment for throat and lung problems, burns, sores, bruises and swellings, colds, bronchial coughs, throat infections, upset stomachs, diarrhea and dysentery. Not suffering from any of those at present, but I know where to go if I do. You can cook with the young leaves too.

Sunday is pudding day. We only make a dessert (sweet, afters, call it what you will), on a Sunday when the VIP is here. We didn't finish yesterday's rhubarb crumble, so as the Prof is out for lunch, I'm going to eschew healthy stuff, pop it in the microwave, smother it with ice cream, put my feet up and be generally idle.
