An interesting day.

For reasons to complex to mention here, I have to temporary transfer my UAE residency visa from Abu Dhabi to Dubai. We cancelled our AD ones, but for various reasons haven't yet got the Dubai visa processed. This means that we have to leave and exit the country every 30 days.

We met the driver in Al Ain which is the same distance from Abu Dhabi as Dubai (130km). Nothing is simple here. The border posts between the UAE (Al Ain) and Oman is 50km, this is due to many border disputes. This was the first time the driver did this crossing, so as a result got lost, and the drive around Oman took 3 1/2 hours.

Also received notice to move out of our apartment. His Sheikhiness is going to turn the compound into serviced (hotel) apartments
