Day 47 – Quebec City Gates

After a lazy morning to recover from our long journey, we spent most of the afternoon wandering through the Plains of Abraham, a large bluff above the St Lawrence River with beautiful views. We ended our day with a walk on the old walls. Quebec City is the last remaining city with complete fortified walls in North America. This photo shows one of the original gates with a watch tower. You can walk right over the top of the gates!
